My fields are due to be sprayed with weedkiller soon by a contractor who has advised the horses can return on the pasture after a week.I want to be sure about this as i hear so many bad stories. What is a very safe period of time before returning to the sprayed pasture?

Asking what the contractor is going to use and Googling it might help. :)

When my ponies paddocks were sprayed we were told 2 weeks, but I waited 3 because I wanted it to rain before I put her back to be sure.

Clava is right - find out what he is using. Some weedkiller's can be ok after a week, but better safe than sorry.

If you dont have anything poisonous (ragwart ) then putting them back on after a week is fine, most weedkillers are water fast after 4 hours so im not sure if raining will help much  If its to kill ragwork then I would leave them off the field for 4-6 week
