I just bought a new bridle from Barnsby a leather snaffle one with padded head piece flash nose band and brass buckles its a really beautiful bridle but I have a problem getting the buckle point to go through the holes is this as it is new or is the buckle point too big plus should I oil the bridle t loosen it up a little....

Get a conditioner of some sort on it to loosen it up, not sure of any recommendations, I just use the conditioning stuff I have for my dubarry boots on stiff tack and it does the job :)

Dear,
Skeeder,
Easy Way Is Just Rotate Pens Refill Which Is Hard Enough In The Holes And The Holes Will Take The Shape Of The Size Of The Refill.
Once The Holes Are In Shape And The Buckle Pin Passes Thrugh It Next Time There Wont Be Any Problem.

I've just bought a bridle for my PRE. If its cob size watch out for the browband. PRE's seem to have wide brows and the cob size pinches.
