Yep, same here, although we are quite close anyway.
Cant ride in the rain, cant ride in the wind, just land up galloping out of control.
Where are the hot days, I need my pony full, hot, and lazy!!!!

yup stuck in the same situation too, it's sooo annoying! Spkie hates the rain and shakes his head like mad, backs up and bucks(well tries to anyway he can't quite get it right!) and I know strong wind and horses in general don't mix so not even going to attempt it today! Hmph!

Tried going out on Dolly in the wind. Bad idea.
Threw the numnah on just to have the wind blow it back over me. Threw numnah on and tried holding it in place, while the wind threw all sorts of crap out of it into my face. Tried lifting saddle one-handed whilst trying to maintain grip on numnah. Failed to do so. Decided to forget numnah and just put saddle on.
Lifted saddle only to have gale-force gust of wind blow me sideways. Struggled into wind and finally got saddle on horse.
Reached for girth, which is now flapping wildly on the other side just out of reach. Cue horse snorting and prancing about since girth is obviously now a monster bent on attack.
Finally catch hold of girth and do it up.
Get bridle on eventually and get on. Horse then does some magnificent lateral work past a piece of haylage wrap followed by capriole over a plastic bag and snorted like a dragon at everything and anything.
By now am exhausted and haven't even left the field.
Finally saw sense and gave up.
I am so fed up of winds....

PMSL Chev. Mine's petrified of carrier bags, especially blue ones, so the wind is a big no no for us.

Flaming June? More like flaming heck when are we going to get some decent weather!?!?! Had decided to explore this new bridlepath I'd found but abandoned that idea today as it was just too windy so unsafe as trees have come down at end of our road.

We are having a glorious day here (though sadly I'm not riding today!) - 28 degrees in the shade, a refreshing breeze, the mountains shimmering in the heat :D But before you get really fed up with me, this is the first really hot weather we've had this year - last weekend we were shivering in 10 degrees, and it had been raining non-stop for over 2 weeks...
This is what I'm looking at as I write this on the balcony, except even those clouds have gone now...
Smug of Slovenia :D

I am a fair weather rider, I admit it, but I decided I would do my 10 minutes in the paddock today because it was raining yesterday and I havent sat on P since thursday. Anyway I felt that I had to try and cheer myself up and luckily P. decided she wanted to come in,she probably thought I wouldnt ride, wrong!.
I wanted to hack out but not in this wind, I did see someone riding on the road though, brave thing, or foolish? as there were alot of tree bits flying about.
Anyway my mare was really good, didnt seem to mind the wind whipping through her mane, we only walked and trotted around the very small slopping paddock we use but she tried and we also managed a bit of rein back which she finally seems to be understanding so I was happy and I think she was too.
It does seem like there is more wind this year, is it climate change? , on the bright side at least there are no flies about.

Today wilts/somerset border pretty windy but lovely sunshine,I don't normally like riding in wind, but had lorry booked for sponsered ride.
So off we went wind wasn't a problem just map reading skills, did about 20 miles instead of 10, absolutely knackered.

Its so annoying, especially for the ones who are at work all week. I hacked out Sat p.m. for about an hour but it was pretty miserable. Didn't even attempt to ride yesterday in that wind! I bet it'll be glorious today.

Well, it poured down here on Saturday, and because I forgot to put a rug on his lordship, that was riding out of the window, since I have nowhere to put him to dry off.
Sunday was blooming windy in the middle of town where we live (my laundry was dry within no more than about half an hour!) but up on the hill it was awful - when I went up to feed and check on the horses, I could barely see for grit in my eyes, so I decided it probably wasn't even worth the argument
Absolutely glorious today - hot, sunny, big blue skies and a soft breeze... and I'm stuck in the office

We saturday it dried up in Gloucestershire so did some SJ training. Sunday was very windy but Hazza doesn't mind the wind so we went for a blast through the local woods jumping fallen branches. Was great fun!
