Howdy :)
I'm new to this forum, just signed up today.
My names Skye, and I'm completely obsessed with horses; basically live for them. I'm from Australia, by the way.
I ride a bit of western and english, and enjoy both styles.
I have one ASH/TB/ARP/British Riding Pony, named Harley. Harley is the most amazing horse, he's my best friend. You have to get him pretty grumpy to have him rear, buck or even pigroute. He can be a handfull riding in the paddock, if he's in a naughty mood, and will just try to trot back to the gate, constantly. He's a horse thats easy to get going, but also easy to stop. He loves other horses and human company, too. He follows me from the second I place my foot in the paddock, and will still be following me along the fence line when I'm not in the paddock. He's turning 10 on the 21st of November this year. He has a good pedigree, his grandad is 'My Bobby Dazzler', the race horse. Sometimes I see the race horse bit in Harley, lol.
Flicka's a 13hh, chestnut Quarab mare, turning 5 in December, I think. She's a very good little jumper, and can be ridden by beginners, except when shes on heat, then shes cheeky. She's not a very, lovey dovey horse like Harley, but is still easy to catch. She can be moody, and nip, like most mares. At the moment, we're hoping shes not pregnant, because we had a stallion break in not long ago.
Banjo is a purebred ASH, fat as can be. He's bay with 2 back socks. Banjo's the perfect beginners horse, lazy as can be though. Very friendly and loves attention! He gets along with most horses, but when its feed time, it's a good idea to seperate him from the others, because he has marked the others, badly; not really kicking, just biting, and drawing blood.
Charlie is a purebred Shetland, 8hh, turning 8 this year. Little cutie! Ridden by a 4yo and loves it! He's also very fat and lazy, lol. We've had Charlie since he was 2yo, he was abused and hadn't been weaned until a few days before we brought him - we were told he was extremely quiet, but you guessed it, he was terrified and impossible to get near. I broke him in my self when I was little, and now he's an angel and loves attention, but hates big horses; scared of them.
Well thank-you for reading about my beautiful horses, and welcoming me, :D.
