"Cough cough, hack, cough" I'm poorly :( Got a bad throat & it's so bad it could easily be classified as "man throat". Not only that my youngest (14 months) has chicken pox & as per sods law cos I feel crap & the youngst is taking up my time the other 2 (3 & 4 years old) have had one of those weeks where they do nothing but bicker & get up to mischief to get more attention.

Poorly or not I'm just gonna have to get out to ride today or I'm going to snap. Need to escape. My bottom lip's tripping me up everytime I try to walk cos I feel so sorry for myself, it's truly pathetic. Told hubby I'm gonna divorce him so I get every other weekend off from the kids when he takes em & get in 2 days solid riding lol.

I'll give you sympathy :D:D:D! I'm the 'i'm NOT ill' *cough, collapse, stop breathing in a cold sweat* type but i tuck people up in bed if they so much as clear their throat - i'm awful when men get man-flu because i actually give them loads of attention! So lots of sympathy from me and i hope you feel better soon!

Lots of sympathy coming your way! It is awful when both parent and children are ill at the same time. I find the TV to be a lifesaver in such times! Hope you get well soon!

there's nothing like riding to get rid of an illness for a couple of hours. Go have fun....
PS when my OH gets man-flu my sympathetic side always f's off somewhere:o:eek:

Sympathy for having 3 kids under 5 never mind with flu as well! LOL (19 months between my two and that was hard enough) You poor thing - I should escape for some horse therapy for sure - might not help the flu but will stop you going crazy!
Divorce sounds like a great plan - but as i presume he's tolerable most of the time perhaps you should drop more hints about some 'me' time and stick with it (only for now - alternate weekends off sounds great doesnt it!)
As for sympathy for people at home - no chance - I am a 'carer' by profession and if hubby or kids looking for sympathy I tell em it all got used up years ago - cup of tea, 2 paracetamol and and flea in your ear til you get into bed is the best your gonna get in my house. Need a trip to A&E - nah! it'll be fine, honest!

Oh hun you have my sympathy, it is rotten when the kids are ill as well as you and don't they just know more than usual how to press your buttons when your not feeling well! It's a standing joke in my house that I'mnot allowed to be ill, when ever I am ill someone else has to be too, I had pleurisy a few months ago and despite the fact i couldn't even breath with out it hurting my OH still seemed to think he was more ill with his man flu! Hope you feel better soon chick and get out to enjoy that ride!

Hope you feel better soon I find when I have a cold I actually feel better outside sometimes so perhaps some horse therapy will work wonders.

Thank you folks, I'm gonna show my very unsympathetic hubby this thread & stick the lip out a bit more as a hint lol.

The fresh air DID make me feel better & we had a fantastic hour in the menage :) Soon as I went to bed though it was cough cough cough again so I'm sat down here with a lemsip before I wake the kids up. Determined to go to a local show tomorrow even if it means a double dose of day nurse!

Will stop being so male now by feeling sorry for myself. No time for that polava if hubby's developing man-flu (yes, he catching it off me but obviously it's a far more serious & debilatating strain).

Have a hug xxx

Then go and get some Echinacea - boosts the immunes system and really helps:)

Thank you for the hug :) They always help! Have been taking echinacea, that'll be why I only ever suffer for a couple of days & hubby has it for over a week. The findhorn 1st aid essence is a miracle in a bottle too if you need an immediate pick me up. Managed the show yesterday dosed up on that & day nurse.

Having an "ahhhhh" at the mo. 2 big pests are at nursery, spotty baby is in bed napping & I'm having a quiet 30mins before yet more housework. Riding at 4:30 :D
