We're well into the show season & I haven't seen any posts about folks competing (sorry if I've missed any)?? Isn't anyone having a go at anything this year? We're entering everything within a 50 mile radius next year, that should be a laugh (for the spectators lol).

My three year old daughter would like to do a lead rein on our dartmoor. The dartmoor is out on loan but the girl who loans her is happy to let us borrow her. She is unregistered though so it will only be for fun. Thta will be about it for us though if we even manage that!

Oh I love to see the little-un's doing lead rein! Wish my 2 older ones were interested (3 & 4) but they'd end up stopping half way round to play power rangers. If you do have a go take loads of pics please :)

We're showing - quite a few posts in the show section!

We had a slow start cos OH had to go into hospital & missed quite a few entries (it's a real pain having to enter months in advance for shows!)

So far we've been concentrating on small hunters with Henry. We've done Hambleton (2nd - qualified RIHS), Midland Counties, Northern, East of England, Lincolnshire (not placed), BSPS Scotland (3rd). Have North of England, GYS, RIHS, Rydale coming up - sure theres a few more but I can recall all we've entered.

Also done a few local shows with Bootsie to get him started. So far just Ilkley RC (1st) & Equus show at Bramham (2 x 1st). We'll probably take him to a few more local ones like Arthington, Weeton etc depending on how he goes before trying to qualify him for something.

Are you doing Wooley on the 26th Hardy? Sounds like you're having a great year despite missing a few (hope your OH is ok).

We're at Hickstead on 26th :) Going to be a long weekend with no prospects of winning but hey ho got to do these things!!

O/H is fine ty - she had to have carpel tunnel surgery but was back riding within 3 weeks. She wasn't supposed to do anything for 8 weeks but that argument didn't hold out!

I expect it was through sheer relief of being rid of the CTS pain. Glad they got her sorted, I had "mild" cases of it twice (pregnancy related so disappeared when baby arrived) & it is no fun whatsoever. If that was mild I'd hate to experience the full blown thing

Yes, if we make i will definately take pics. It is really down to the girl who loans Diva though. Kazz has a huge scar...I mean REALLY huge, too big even for lead rein, so we are dependant on borrowing:rolleyes:

Im showing at the moment although must say the turnout at shows has been poor went to huntingdon racecourse for a olympia M&M ridden class and only six in the class!!!!!!!!!

we also went to Hoys qualifier and ther where entries on the day as people didnt show i think the weather and all natives prone to lamy are being affected all mine ok though now friends who are finding it an issue stopping them from showing not to mention the PANTs weather!

my 3yr old daughter has her first show tommorrow just got all her gear so so cute! she in lead rein M&M on my welsh sec A and they are going to look so sweet fingers crossed she enjoys it as still very young!

she has little tweed jacket tiny jods and green and gold tie all her stuff yellow and green and she has stunning blonde curls although i am bias!

we also qualified for Royal London SHow in august so off there with my welsh d's in ridden M&M.

Hoys qualifier me and my man sliped and went through the fence and nearly knocked the judge out with a flying wooden duck (part of the course design think they will miss them out next year =) ) so unfortunatly no qualification this year WHP classes have been hard this year due to the damp weather and poor surfaces =(

showing has to be taken for fun else it ends up a waste of money we are typically there with what we think are stunners trying to have a good time they dont like us we go home normally laughing at all errors! =)

In three weeks we've got a local show to go to,

My 9yr old daughter will be doing tack and turnout and lead rein on Lacey but id said daughter has the major strops like she did this weekend she will be substuituted for her 3yr old brother! (this weekend she announced she wanted to do the show but not bother ride/train between now and then, I'm afraid no work=no show in this house lol.)

I'll be doing the m&m in-hand, Veteran in hand and a fun inhand class
