Decided to put up a couple of jumps for Otto today. He was a star and really enjoys his jumping! I began by asking him to trot over the jump and after a little strop with him wanting to canter canter canter he settled down nicely and I even upped the fence a bit although by that time the camera had run out of power so only pics of small jumps!

So this is us arguing all the way as to whether we should be trotting or cantering  not sure I look totally relaxed here! Did he jump....did he stop.....

Of course he jumped it!!

but we had a few bunny hops on the other side!

Now settled into a rhythm

And away...

so after the cross pole we moved onto this jump - look I'm even smiling - or is that shrieking!

and the other way

Looking the photos I'm pretty sure I am holding my breath over most of those jumps! Critique welcome. :)

Haha. Ooh I am dead happy for you!!! How old is your horse and what breed is he because I think he is adorable. On the first pic when you said "Did he jump it???" I scrolled down and there wasnt a picture, just an open space and I was thinking "NOOOOO did he jump it or not???" Me being the person I am decided to scroll even further down and then that was when I found the picture of him jumping it :D:D:D Lets see some higher jumps. Loving your face reaction on the straight x x x

Gemmahorselover, Otto is 11 and we don't know his breed as we bought him from a dealer - in fact if anybody has any ideas as to Otto's breeding I would be interested to hear what people think! :)

As to higher jumps - I am getting there but I'm not that confident so it's slow but steady progress! :D

Cr*p attempt from me....I would guess him at Cob x, poss TB? He's chunky but those legs are like stilts :D

Well done for jumping, you're a braver lass than me!! Love the action shot of him trying to refuse, did he cat leap it after?

Well YO thought maybe cob x German warmblood - I got as far as cob x! :p

Not sure what happened on that 1st jump he wanted to charge at it and I said no. I think he sort of bunched up and then sprang over it at the last second - I remember thinking 'oh gawd!' and then he tried to bugger off with me on the other side hence us boinging away from the jump! :p He was never saying no though - pretty sure I didn't kick him on.

Kc..

Haha, will have to work on my canter to trot transitions first :o Let's just say he's lazy going up to trot, but once we hit canter we fail to find a stop button! They don't do W&T only tests do they? The ones you PM-ed me all involved canters!
