Got ready on Sat morning, wondered if my wonderful boy would load in the trailer he was a star followed my friends pony in like a dream, arrived at a wet Blair, and i have never been before so puppy in tow we set off to find the entry tent.
We entered into the Novice Showjumping and the Novice X Country, he likes his showjumping but has been 20years plus since i have done any XC, and was not sure if he had although i think after riding it he has done all this before in his passed that i know not much about,

We warmed up for the XC and set off thought i would just go steady and clear which we did, got caught up behind another girl in the woods so that added time on but for our 1st attempt i am happy we came 15th.

We watched the finish of the pony jumping and warmed up for our novice class, in we went and took it steady which is unusual for Nookie as he is very strong and flies, we went clear, that is all i wanted so we done the jump off clear again and just took it easy we ended up 2nd, and have now qualified for some class in Falkirk, need to read the sheet,:o i had a great day with my boy, he was a superstar...

now for some pics if it works:o

Hi

Where is the show? is it a local one? I live near clydebank so if its a good day and find myself with nowt to do (hossy and dog grandweans and OH permitting) I may pop down. Most of ours have past, ie drymen, Campsie etc

its just a small show near village of Ochiltree outside of Ayr but i know Barskimming horse trials are on also, they are quite big, so give you choice of 2, if you do a search online for Barskimming horse trials and Burnochmill you will find them both :D
