Does anyone know if the saddle company saddles come with leather panels underneath? The ones I've seen all have the woolen underside of the panels and I wondered if they come in leather instead?

If your horse has high withers and is hard to fit serge panels are often better for the horse's back. They allow more muscle formatin than a leather panel.
If you speak to them they will make you one with a leather panel no doubt.

i have an SCS saddle - serge though, not leather - but i have to say there are far more benfits with the serge - i.e air flow, through saddle and heat / sweat coming away from horses back can be absorbed and flow through the serge back out into the air - my horse is a hell of a lot more comfortable in it than he was in his Jefferies, leather one ;)

I was more worried about the flock inside being ruined if it got wet. I go to the river and beach a lot with Forest and didn't want the serge panels to get went and effect the flocking. Would the water effect the flocking?
