Very Slightly Dressage like Joy's old wintec. You should be able to jump up to 2ft 6 in them :)

I think 2ft 6 is the accepted height. Tbh I never really took much notice about the jumping height limits as you know me. I just wanted the shoulder clearance for Joy and the better positioned stirup bars :p
Mind you having said that many people jump bareback anyway and don't need the support of a saddle so it would be personal taste I spouse :D

What I meant was, it wouldn't hurt or effect his jump if it was over 2'6 in that saddle?
It doesn't matter about my postion! :p

Nah, my understanding is only that it is about the position and support it gives the rider.
I'll ask Jane though when I see her this afternoon :)

Ok, thanks, can you ask her aswell:
The serge panels on the saddle company saddles do they come in leather as well instead of the woolen stuff?

I jumped upto about 3ft in my actual dressage saddle, you just don't have the support that you do in a GP or jumping saddle!

I once saw Charisma's groom do a demo on him, dressage and then show jumps at 3'6-3'9. She said it wasn't the best in a dressage saddle but she coped OK.

my friends jumped 3ft6 in her dressage saddle and ive seen people doing bsja in dressage saddles so youd be fine to jump higher in a VSD

very slightly dressage. don't worry, it won't affect your jump, but might make it more difficult to cling on!!

It is German - Vielseitigkeit/ Dressur. It means General Purpose/ Dressage saddle. They have slightly longer saddle flaps than the average GP saddle but larger kneerolls than a dressage saddle.
