After the many problems I've had with Salsa's back and all the money I have forked out on saddle fittings and physio, I would like to start keeping a close eye on his shape changing, especially around the wither, since this is where he has the most change.
Does anyone know where I can get a saddlefitter's flexi tape? I was thinking about taking the shape of his back and drawing it onto a large sheet of paper, in the same way that my saddle fitter does, so that I can see the changes and call the fitter out as and when necessary, rather than phoning because "I think he might have changed" and paying him to do it. It's so hard to judge purely by eye when you see them every day.

You can buy flexi curves from shops like staples I think:confused:
I have one and its useful for taking back shapes, although a bent wire coathanger can do the same thing, and it doesn't lose its shape so easily.

Don't use a coat hanger, it will lose it's shape and give you a false reading, they are made from stainless steel and have a memory so will try to return to shape.Use a piece of 4" lead flashing bent in half to give it the right consistency, this is what I use and have used for 21 years, it is very accurate.
I have a wooden wither gauge too, Shires used to sell them, not sure if they still do.
