My Yearling Colt - Vel hates being in the stable for any length of time. He will come in but gets nervous when I close the door. He will eat his hard feed then wants straight out, he stands at the door and pushes it with his shoulders and paces nervously eager to get back outside (even if it is pouring with rain!) If I go out the stable he will try and bolt out the door when open. I feel I need to get this problem rectified before the weather turns cold and winter sets in, you may think this is a while away but I live in Shetland *laughs out loud*!
I dont know if he just wants to get back out to the park with the Shetland Pony I have out on loan? Putting the Shettie in with him is not an option as he would beat Vel up and my poor boy already has bite marks all over his neck, he can see the Shettie from the stable as I leave the top half of the door open but not even this satisfies him, help and advice needed please!!!!!!
