.. and also did some clear round jumping with robbie

he went very well imho. apart from the fact we were fighting the whole way round :(
must be the new bit, so now were on the search and trying to find 'the right bit' for him, if anyone has any suggestions, for a strong, willpowered clydesdale x cob, that will bolt from time to time, but needs to keep going too, he was in a 3 ring dutch gag today, as he bolted the other day when out hacking, but i put our fulmer in a couple of days ago for a schooling lesson and he worked well in that, and we jumped a clear round at a jumping clinic on thursday night. should i try him in that and use the 3 ring for hacking maybe?

anywho..
he went clear up until a double, and he knocked down the 2nd part of the double and went clear the rest of the way, very interesting ride, he was a bit jumpy, but didn't look at any of the fillers (was a 2ft course) and was jumping out of his skin bless him, he was near enough cantering most of the way round too, i tried to keep him at trot but he insisted on cantering. very smooth canter boyo!
took him in that again and he knocked the same one down again  typical my mum said
but he went very well though, went off my leg and stayed in contact (thats when he wasnt fighting and pulling)

and then i took honey in the restricted novice (70cm) and she was c-r-a-z-y. the wind was really up her tail. we went clear *just* in that class, as she was bolting round the arena after the roaring wind was brewing up a storm and a few fences blew over and scared the hell outa her, she was doing mini leaps when she had just jumped the fences, silly pony, shes back to her normal self though. jump off she was fast! but she dragged her back foot and took it down with her (was a style) and we landed 3rd out of 9 :D
second class, novice (75cm) she had 8 faults, an island fell over and scared her ****less and sent her forwards and i had to turn a circle and come to the fence alot more collected, jumped up until the last and had the last down. they time the first round incase there isn't enough clears, we came 5th.

overall, very happy with my two.

no pictures until later im afraid

Sounds like Steppy, pulls like a train 50% of the time and then the rest of it he's a complete dobbin and you have to really work. He's in a linked snaffle, with a cavesson. I don't know what he's like hacking, never hacked him - But he definatly has a different bit.
