Red's breathing problems have sprung on us again, with double intensity, he had to have an injection (the gret wuss wouldn't stop bleeding after it either) and is on double dose ventipulmin. Vet coming out again on Monday morning to check up, and if worse comes to worse, scope him. Oh, how he'll love me then. :D

Just looking for a muzzle for him now, so that he can be out 24/7, you can't do right for doing wrong with this ruddy horse. But I still can't be mad at him. :o

Vet has said that an inhaler might have to be introduced as a last resort, so any experience/knowledge is GREATLY appreciated. :)

Used with a spacer device - the horse ones are pricey but you can get human ones with a mask that work out tons cheaper.

We use an aerochamber with mask for my friends' old boy. Puff the inhaler into the aerochamber with mask over one nostril and pinch off the other nostril. It has a one way valve so they can breathe the drug in

Get him scoped or blood test then you know whats really going on. Depending on what they find, Pulmon ez from Equinescience is an amazing product working with Nitric oxide that will help anything to do with the respiratory system. I work with a scientist in California and he wont charge to check blood test if you want. He sees more than we seem to see over here in UK from our test reports!
