As some of you know from my posts here and general, my lami boy had a touch again recently, but we have managed to stop it, and he is not going to retire after all.
His sharer has been sitting on him in the field and stable and he is not bucking her off anymore and standing for mounting again.
Today I went on my own, and after all the work, and lots of rubs and cuddles, I thought I would venture on him in the stable, rubber flooring of course so OK for his feet. Didnt bother with tack or bridle, just stood on the mounting block which is the tackbox lid, and during the brushing put my leg over, watched his ears and tail, he was fine, so on I got.
He stopped chewing and stood dead still looking forward at his hay net, and I was getting ready for the bucks, but none came and he started eating agian. It was such a lovely feeling, he was so warm and relaxed. He got an extra apple afterwards.
So his feet are better. Back in the field to some real work for the sharer tomorrow. Walk and trot for another two weeks on grass only though.
Yippee! All that worrying for nothing. :):):)
