Eyes

My horse has recently developed black circles around his eyes. He has never had this before does anyone know what it is?

When you say black circles, do you mean the hair around his eyes is turning black? How old is he?

It looks as though his fur is thinner around his eyes and is turning a darker shade (He is bay) He's 11yrs

Most likely flies are irritating his eyes and he's rubbing his face against his leg. B's done the same, looks like she's overdone the eyeliner Amy Winehouse style then stood in the rain!
