Your basic health "regulars" will be:

Vaccinations (annual, I think... I just book it and pay it when the vet sends me a reminder notice!) £45
Worming (or worm counts) Cost depends on product used. I'm about to change to worm counts with Westgate labs which I think is £9.50 per count, plus any wormers that you need
Equine Dental Technician (annual, although some horses, like mine, needs a six monthly) £30
Saddle fitter (mine comes at least every six months because my lad changes shape a lot) £35
Farrier/bare foot trimmer (whether it's for shoeing or just a trim) I pay £10 for a trim.

Costs will vary all over the country: we're in North East England.

Iain Butt at Loanhead is our vet and we've always found him to be very good - we've aldo used Roger Gordon in Musselburgh and they too were good. Where abouts in the Lothians will the horse be kept?.

Yes, they'll come to the yard - infact, the yard can prob best rec a vet to you. You may get to share the call out fee with others on the yard - when we kept ours a livery - anyone who was getting the vet out for jabs etc would ask everyone else if they needed the vet for anything - keeps the bill down a bit.
