Am just about to affiliate to BSJA and was wondering what the limits were for the horses winnings until you are no longer eligible for British Novice, Disc, Newcomers and Foxhunter? I couldnt find anything on their website so if anyone knows it would be much appreciated!

There are 2 different types of winnings for BSJA, actual and notional. Actual is the amount of money received as prizes, notional is the amount of money the BSJA awards based on the type of class and the position you finished in.
For the purpose of being excluded from a class it is notional that is used.
Limits are :-
BN £100
Discovery £175
Newcommers £300
Foxhunter £600

You must have been jumping a long time ago. ;)
Notional for BN is £15 for the win. That means you would have to win 7 times before being out of the class.
Before 'notional' prize money came in it was a bit of a lottery on how many you could win depending on the prize money offered. Around my way the prize money for 1st place BN varies from £25 to £50. Hence the reason BSJA introduced the notional winnings concept to even it all out.
