Supplement for Anaemia

Can anyone recommend a good supplement for a horse with anaemia??

Don't make me go out in the rain and look.....it was one that has red cell in the name I think. Will post tomorrow, if no-one answers you.

No, it's called Red Cell. I used it when my mare was aneamic after she bled into her thigh (big, big, swelling), I don't really know if it helped but she recovered quickly and had a better blood count after a week. If there is an infection supplements probably won't help much though.

when my mare was anaemic after her last foal vet put her on HB Powder then after that we used pink powder, a lot cheaper and kept her on it all the time. Really perked her up a lot.

Thanks for replies. She's just anaemic...no infection or anything. Vet actually thinks (for various reasons), that she's probably always had amaemia to a certain degree.

I thought red cell....kturner - whats hb powder??

Red cell, several variation on similar supplement are available.
Two weeks and you should start to see a difference.
