Just wondering how much sleep everyone normally gets. I was planning to have a lie in today so did not set my alarm and woke up at 6 wide awake. Was planning to go to the yard a bit later today as have a BBQ but now I am up I might us well get going! This meant I only had 6 hours sleep last night which I think is probably not enough esp with an active lifestyle.

I normally get up around 9 at the weekends (but my dogs been barking today and woke me up) yesterday I was like you woke at 6am and couldn't get back to sleep. In the week I try to get up for half 5 so the max sleep I normally get is 7hrs more usually 5-6 :)

I'm normally a 7 hour a night girl.
I might lie in for up to an hour but no more than that because I see being in bed as a waste.

6hrs a night usually - it's not really enough, but unfortunately I have an early morning horse and a late night job! Sometimes I end up trying to function on 4 hours sleep - not fun. I often end up binge sleeping and getting a good 12/13 hour sleep in when I have been staying up too late for too long!

Anything between nothing (yes i know that's bad for you :o!) and six hours a night. Occasionally i'll have the odd night where i get about seven or eight but a normal night is four or five hours - i'm naturally an early riser and i don't need a lot of sleep - or food! - to keep me going :).

Anywhere between 5-7 hrs, depends on time of year, whether i need to muck out before work or not, or if i have been out til the early hours of the morning lol. I'd like a lie in at weekends but i can't because if i do it messes with my sleep pattern and just makes me feel bad for the rest of the day. I think i could do with about 8 hrs sleep but never get it, in winter when i have to be up really early i sometimes nearly end up falling asleep at work! I could go to bed earlier but for some reason i can never make it there any earlier lol.

I usually get around 7 hours sleep - and I get very grumpy if I sleep less for a few days in a row. :D

In bed by 9:30, up at 5:15
SO wish I could lie-in sometimes, but nooo, internal clock just clicks to 'awake' and thats it - day starts whether I like it or not.
Even on bloomin' holiday m:(

I'm a night owl - not a morning person at all!
I am usually in bed by midnight on weekdays and alarm goes off at 6 (I need to be up by 7 but need a lot of notice), so max 7 hours sleep usually. Ideally I'd have 9 hours, but if I go to bed earlier I don't sleep or sleepwalk instead :o
At weekends I usually manage 8 hours sleep unless I'm out, and then it can be very little at all. I do have a siesta though at weekends if I'm tired - usually go to sleep for an hour or two after lunch :o well if it's good enough for the Spanish it's good enough for me! :D
Once in a while I like to stay in bed until late morning, but can't see that happening often now I have Molly!

Your body takes as much sleep as it needs - so don't worry that you're not getting enough sleep at 6 hours!! (thats what I've always been told anyway!). I know my body keeps telling me that in order to get up at 8am and feed the horses - I need to get to bed well before midnight!!! (it never seems to happen tho!) Funny thing is this morning I woke at 5am and looked out and was sorely tempted to go see Storm and Joe and have an early morning brew with them - must be the fact that it wasn't raining for the first time in I don't know how long! (I went back to bed tho - didn't take me long to nod back off.......)

Not nearly enough  Got a 10 week old puppy who thinks its breakfast time at 4-4.30 am most mornings :)
I try to be in bed before midnight, OH's alarm goes off at 5am, he gets up at 5.30 and leaves house by 6am. I normally then go back to sleep until about 7.30, but still feel tired due to being woken early.

i tend to go to bed between 8.30-9.30 and get up 6.15ish....
i need a lot of sleep - i'm hideous without sleep - a bear with a sore head would seem a delightful companion compared to me with lack of sleep! :o

At least 7 now which is loads, I had 3 years of 5 hours sleep a night and a year and a half of at most 4 hours sleep a night (getting up early for work and getting in late because of horse and a nasty commute)

i cant believe how little sleep you guys get!!!
well apart from the teenagers but thats part of the job;)
i need 10-12hours otherwise i cant wake up during the course of the day. if i dont get it then i will nap.
if i only get the reccomended 8hours then by the time i'm driving to/from the yard my eyes are heavy when driving - not good! fortunately (or not so sometimes!) i can nap anywhere, its quite easy for me to find a quiet corner of a room and lie on floor and nod off for a few hours!!
