this winter im going to be feeding my youngsters who live out 24/7 on fibrebeet and alfa.plus hay when required.
i want a powder youngstock supplement to add to this as they are natives so dont want to feed a stud mix/cube.

can anyone suggest good general youngstock powder supplements please.

I'm not sure about a powder specifically for youngstock, I used TopSpec Anti Lam to be sure mine was getting everything he needed. It's low calorie so ideal for natives.

I would recommend dodson and horrell's powdered supplement 'Surelimb' £10 for a 2kg tub.

It is designed for foals, weanlings, yearlings etc. I have been feeding my very good doer yearling it all summer (fed her suregrow through winter) and she has really taken to it well mixed in with a little chaff. It smells nice too!.

I Like Top Spec's youngstock balancer as it has all the good needed for a healthy and balanced growing up. Combine that with a good quality chaff such as alfa a which is full of calcium essential for bone growth it can be the perfect diet for your little one.
Also, NAF's Youngstock supplement is also brilliant if you dont want to change your foals diet, this supplement has all there needed vits and minerals :)
What ever you choose, consider it well and take time to decide which one is going to help your foal grow nice and strong.

Hope that helps ...
