As some of you might know I'll be looking for a new horse soon. I would love to own a criollo but I'll have to see how much money I have to spend. If I get one I know they are western trained and would love to learn how to ride western instead of teaching the horse to be ridden english style.

Question is are there many western instructors around? I've never heard of one, especailly not in my area. Are there any website where you can look them up? or does anyone know of anyone close to me, I live in teesside/cleveland, although I would be willing to travel into county durham or north yorkshire for a couple of lessons.

Try doing a search for the Western Equestrian Society as they have the lists of instructors.

OK - I've found it on my PC

Thanks for that, I've had a look at their list and my nearest instructor is 56 miles away, which would take a fair while with my trailer, especially for me to be doing it regularly.

Does anyone else know of anyone?
