Well, after about 14 years of horselessness, and 18 months of hanging around NR wistfully, I finally had my first (and second!) riding lesson this week!!
So finally I understand all the moaning about sitting trot. Hmm. Who invented that?? Actually, it wasn't too bad... but I really *must* invest in jodhpurs (sp?) soon - button fly jeans really NOT the way to go! :eek:
Anyway, I have lots and lots to learn, clearly (must remember - shoulders back, fingers closed, and NO neck reining! eek!) but the stable is nice the horses (thus far have met Beau and RedGum) are lovely and the instructor very calm and patient. Many thanks to Rebellion and Jillaroo for reccommending the place. Having heaps of fun... and getting more of a workout than I really reckoned on, too!
