They've done it! My 10 yo daughter and her little 6yo pony have passed Parelli Natural Horse.man.ship - Partnership level 1. I'm so proud of both of them. All I could manage was passing the ground skills for level 1, too chicken to ride our 1st loony mare Lindy, she definately needs a level 2 person.

Congratulations to her!!! :) :) :)
I'm hoping to finish mine when school finishes...not enough time or light in the evenings. I only had 20 minutes tonight! I can't move on to the next lesson because by the time I'm on and done my stuff and ready to start the next bit, it's dark! I'm going to go mad soon...
How much does it cost by the way?

Hi Rakeli,
Go Girl!!! you'll get there. Its summer over here in Australia, don't have the problem of it being too dark, its too hot! For Jen to be assessed it didn't cost anything, she did it live. I've heard to send a video to a Parelli assessor it costs for their time but I think they are all different, Jen's had about 3 lessons with Louise Atkinson and will continue going to her clinics. Are you having any lessons with an endorsed Parelli instructor, I highly recommend it. Good luck with your Partnership with your prey animal!!!!!

No I'm not :( :( :(
BUT my brother is, once a month with some other people. I would love to go to them, but they're on mondays, so he's said he'll help me if I need it.

HI Guys,
I've just bought little Arnie (Arnold Schwartzenegger) (see adults who ride ponies) and I'm going to need all the help I can get, thank goodness I've at least passed my Parelli level 1 ground skills - he is a darling but has absolutely no manners, he's on top of me, all over me, very pushy and a bit nippy (but lovable of course), so we have a long way to go, and no doubt we will have a few disagreements along the way (Arnie and I that is). He's only 2 - 1/2 yo, a baby, and only 12.3hh and a skinny little runt! I hope he doesn't get much past 13hh or I'll be too chicken to eventually get on him. I'll do 6 months - 1 year of ground skills with him and take him out once a month to our Parelli Horseplayers group, and then get him broken in by a Parelli Level 3 trainer, that should keep me busy for the next couple of years!!! No doubt you will see me here often screeming for HELP!!!
Keep it natural guys, and good luck with your partner prey animals!:D

How do you go about taking your Parelli levels?

Once you've completed all the tasks necessary, you can then either have a Parelli endorsed instructor watch you do them, or you can film them and send the video to an instructor.
