I ride 3-5 days a week. Arena work (w/t/c, and jumping up to 2 feet) anywhere from 35 min to an hour. I take the footing of the arena into account as well.
I've been putting liniment on my horses legs, shoulders, and hind quarters after every ride. Is this too much and overdoing it? Is this unneccessary? Should I limit it? Or is it perfectly safe and okay to do?
I have it in a spray bottle; I spray it on and then lightly rub it in. I was using Absorbine liniment for awhile (http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-22622&bhcd2=1217973007), and now I'm using Vetrolin (http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-2269).
I follow up with MTG (http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-4748) for his skin (prevents/treats fungus and dry skin). We've had a very wet summer, so fungus has been an issue...
