I've just got the EE book and video and they are brilliant I just wish I was being taught using the same techniques. It's so refreshing for a new rider like me to find an experienced rider who understands that "sitting deep" (for eg) means b*gger all to us newbies - I thought I was supposed to be pushing my bum into the saddle.

This may be a daft question but are there EE riding schools anywhere else in the country (it's a long drive to Devon for me!) and if so how do I find them? And if not why not!!!! Perhaps I shall just have to give my instructor Heather's book and say I'd like to be taught like this thank-you!

Sadly I don't think there are any schools, which is a huge problem.I would love to get some one on one EE instruction myself. I hope your instructor is open to the idea of reading the book!

Hertfordshire, Whoa? That's just up the road- at least compared with the distances that many come from!!!!! I have three riders here on a one day workshop ( staying two nights) from Bahrain, last week two from the US and the week before, two from Belgium!! Over the last year 60% have come from abroad, so Hertfordshire?- just a mere jaunt!!

I will be doing a clinic up there soon though - where are you in Herts?

Heather PS glad you like the book and video, and I am working on a teacher training plan. I already have several EE teachers who have been training over the last year, but none as yet in Herts I am afraid!!

Heather,

Thanks for your reply! I'm in East Herts (near Stansted airport). I must confess I have been so inspired I was thinking of doing one of your 1 day courses on the equisimulator - do you still run them? I really love the fact that you consider the feelings of the horse, I feel terrible when I think what my flapping legs and bouncing does to the poor things I ride. I shall be trying to flex my back as you suggest during my next lesson.

Sue.

HI Sue,

I was through Stansted on my awy to Sandon from Esex only two Sundays ago! I am also working with an American who lives at Stansted, who is helping me market my saddles in the US. My ex boyfriend, with whom I am still good friends, lives at Sawston, so you could say I have a few connections in that area!

Sue Carnell and I run the workshops in general every Tuesday and Friday. I take one, she does the other, and if I am away taking clnics, Sue will do both. If you woudl lik ethe workshop info email me at heather@eclipse.co.uk

Hope you can join us on one!

Heather
