day of the test

right what do you guys do on the morning of a dressage test ??

what do you normally do in the warm up ring ??

also as ive only been to one dressage previously im so nervous and cant remember what happens when you get there, do you normally have to sign in or just turn up at the arena when your time states ?? arghhh cant remember can you tell im stressing lol

working in wise i would have a set routine you want to do , ideally the same as or very similar to what you would do at home

usually the collecting ring will have a steward , if you tell them who you are when you enter the collecting ring they will mark on the list that you are there & then call you when its your turn to go , upon entering the collecting ring i find it useful to ask how the times are running , eg if uite a bit late i don't want to end up working the horse past his best

if there is no collecting ring steward it will be your resoonsibilty to get yourself to the right ring on time for your test , if there is a steward there give your name , if not give your name to the judge/writer

also for a smooth run its helpful to find out i you need to work in inside or outside of the competition arena prior to the bell ringing for you to start your test

go to get your number 1st second i go to the loo then go tack up and warm up normaly dont have time for nerves cause im always running late

yup, number, tack up then into the warm up ring, in the warm up ring i do a couple of mini serpetines and circles on each rein in walk then in trot. then i do a couple of circle on each rein in canter, then just walk her round on a long rein until its my turn to go in for my class!:D
