Does anyone know of any X-country courses near West Sussex that let you hire them? or do a training session over a course?

It would have to be very small jumps (max. 2ft3) as neither my horse or myself have ever done any X-country.

Thanks :)

Try the Fair Oak course at Rogate near Pulbourough - its really nice. Their website is http://www.fair-oak.co.uk/ We go there fairly often (even though we live over an hour away). The jumps are really well maintained and there is a lot of variety. Each section has 3 heights, or easy options for things like the waters. Highly reccommended!

Coombelands is really good for novice riders and horses - most fences are 2'3 +, but very inviting, and with a good bank complex and a nice simple water jump. There are intro and pre novice affiliated courses too.

I have been highly recommended Fair Oak at Rogate too, but haven't been there myself yet.

Maybe we should all meet up one day at one of the courses - oh and I'll come when I get a ned. A NR Mini-XC Comp! :D

Dont do XC, but I might just come and watch. Im in Billingshurst.

I think Broadbridge Farm is a mini XC course, a lot less profesional than Commbelands. Its on the A24, Coombelands the A29.

Thanks all for the suggestions! Will definitly look into all of them. I've jump judged at Coombelands but never walked the course. So may go and walk it and see what its like.
