Its one thing to use the trot machines to learn to ride....

but i WISH my local gym had an artificial racehorse - I tried one at Badminton - and I was totally knackered after 5 mins galloping - and it would certainly build up my balance, legs, stamina, heart/lung capacity .....

Can't think what you'd be wanting wiht an artifical racehorse that got totally knackered after only five minutes' galloping, Issy ...

they look very interesting! I saw them on the website a member from NR posting and I also say them at the Royal winter Fair in Toronto! :) They look neat, but they don't compare to a real horse.

I worked with the guy who made the racehorse simulators on his walk and trot and canter ones.

I didn't however find the galloping one nearly as good as the other two - a real hrose galloping is not that much effort to stay on providing you are reasonably fit, but that thing! As Issy says, it nearly knackers you after a few minutes! It reuqired a lot more effort to balance too.
