Dually and i have been improving with our jumping lately, but still every now and again he just seems to have an "off day" when he just doesn't seem to meet a single jump right.
I have tried altering his stride, but this makes him rush (He likes to be left alone while we jump) so i have quite a problem.
I have noticed that the faster his canter, the better he meets the take-off point.
Any ideas?

I have a lot of a problems when striding and its usually always seems to be Maverick who puts it right. He never listens to me. My instructor helped me by placing a striding pole one stride infront of the fence. This has helped alot as Maveriuck sorts his stride over the pole and is then perfect for take-off.

i wouldn't worry too much about this, often horses do have off days. how often do you jump him?
