I am in my early 50's and have ridden since childhood. Due to severe arthritis in my hips I am now unable to sit a horse and I really miss it. I would love to take up driving - but - I don't know the first thing about it. I live in Plymouth, Devon. Is there anywhere near where I can learn or can anyone give me any useful tips? Many thanks.:)

www.carriage-driving.com have a list of instructors.
There will be links to a great deal of other sites too.
Driving is great fun.
If you join the British Driving Society, in Dugard Place, Barford Warwick, they are a really helpful society. They have a news letter with lots and lots of addresses and events you can go along to. There will be an area rep which covers your area.
I have found 2 places in Carriage Driving Mag, one in Devon the other Dartmoor, any use?
Pm me if you want their numbers.
All the best with your new plans.
