Hi,

I am very interested in purchasing an all purpose Heather Moffett saddle but was informed by thorowgood that they have been discontinued. Is there anywhere else I can buy one? If not, is it possible to have stirrup leathers positioned further back in a used saddle?

I live in Connecticut and haven't been able to locate a Heather Moffett saddle this side of the Atlantic.

The Saddle Company are making a Heather Moffett, GP and dressage saddle, slightly more expensive than the TG one, but better designed and made.

I have one of each, they are both standing up to every day wear and tear well, I also have a Heather Moffett Thorowgood Dressage, it's okay, but not as good as the Saddle Co ones.

Thank-you, everybody, for replying. Wally, can you give me more information on the saddle company - their web address, hopefully?

HI Mary K

I'm in Sweden and just got a HM saddle from Saddle Co.

They don't have a web site unfortunately. Do check what transport would cost. It cost over £100 to get mine to Sweden - and while its worth every penny, just think of the transport costs alone if it had not fit !!

In previous posts Heather has indicated that some of her design features were adopted in other saddles, with lots of work but no pay back to her. Of course it is not the 'full' HM design, but I believe the Isabell Werth dressage saddle at least has the stirrups set further back ? Not sure if there is a GP tho'.
