i was just wondering caus in the spring or summer i am planning to clean my stable blanket and i was just wondering on what type of cleaner you clean the blanket with. Can you clean the blanket with dawn soap? and can anyone tell me how to clean it. i was just wondering how just to get a head start on thinking of what to do in the springtime to put winter horse supplies away. i noticed that their is urine stains on the white straps and i know that you have to clean the blanket just like your own clothes .

At the stables I go to, we use regular Tide laundry detergent and wash them in the washing machine. Pretty much like you would your own clothes, althought you might want to set the washing machine on a higher level so it can really get the blankets clean.
Afterwards the blankets are hung in the sun to dry.

All you need is a warm day, a concrete surface, a scrubbing brush, & make sure that you get all the soap out!
