My horse died last Wednesday and the vet's are not sure why. They suggested that it was maple leafs. I do not have any red maple but I do have Big Leaf Maple trees that I know he ate about 2-3 months ago. Does anyone know if Big Leaf Maple tree leafs are toxic as well? He has eaten them before for years, as they fall into the paddock but not as many as he did this year. Please help me if you can! Thanks, Jan
I found out last night that big leaf maple are not toxic to horses, only the red leaf maple is!
