I am short and when I clean out horses hooves, I have to crouck next to them. Someone one told me that the correct way is to bend down from a standing position but ( like I said) I am not tall and can not reach to the horses ooves wihtout hurting by back. What should i do?

crouching should be fine, it is just important that you don't kneel or sit on the ground. You can still move wuickly from a crouch, and since you are not tall enough to bend over, I think you should be fine doing that.

In actual fact you are probably being kinder to your back than most of us. So, if you can move quickly from a crouch, carry on-regardless!!!

i know the feeling of having an aching back! some horses keep their feet way under their body (back ones that is) and sometimes if you drop their leg a little and stretch it out, they wll relax. Then you can get out from under them and stick your knee out and get a litle support from your knee instead of just having all that pulling on your back. With the front ones, well, that's just the way it is i guess! Good luck
