Hacking jackets for 12 year old girls

Help.
My 12 year old daughter is neither a child, nor a teenager in shape. i.e. - tall, long lean legs, slim hips, no bust and a big tummy. Any ideas where I could find a hacking jacket to fit, for this Summer's show's? We have tried Ladies sizes, and when they fit round the tummy, are too long in the arms and length, and too big aound the chest.

IThe jacket sounds nice, but it has corduroy patches on the elbows, and only 2 buttons. I wonder why?

P.S. Last years jacket was a 34" chest, and was strained then, even after I moved the buttons.
Sigh.......
I wonder if it is possible to get jackets cut to take a body protector underneath? That might do the trick.

I have similar problems finding jackets for myself, however i can definatley recommend Alexander James, who made mine.

The Jackets are beautiful quality and the customer service is excellent. They also have a lot of swatches to chose from, which is definately an advantage. All are made from pure wool.

They can either taylor a jacket from you daughter or find one to fit her size.

You don't say what you budget for, but the prices range from £75 - £160.

Alexander James made mine too - they're brilliant. I saw them at some show, and I just tried one on and the chap said ah yes, size 18, a bit bigger across the front, a bit smaller across the back and an inch or so off the arms, no, I don't need to take measurements, that'll be fine....

It took a few weeks to arrive, but it fitted, and it's a really nice tweed.

Had another idea - has anybody ever sewn a hacking jacket? An American website produces pattern for English riding clothes, including tail coats, hunt jackets and breeches/jodphurs.

Have you tried Derby house saddlery thier jackets are very good and they go up in 1 inch sizes so they can be found for even the strangest size of jacket, Its where i got mine from and im a realy strange size!! Also showing specific have some good ones. If i find an adress or a web site for either ill let you know!

The chest isn't the problem, its the waist line. I measured her, and she's the same around her chest, as she is her waist and hips. It all just sticks out indifferent directions if you know what I mean. Any way, I made one, using the suitability patterns cut to THREE different pattern sdizes around the chest, hips and waist line.- but its a bit on the short side. Next time, I would lengthen it by about 2 inches. thanks any way for your suggestion.
