I dont have a polish warmblood (nearly bought one back in Feb though!)...but I do have 2x hotblood x coldbloods - technically I think they are classed as "warmbloods", but arent generally refered to as such - here they are any way!

Friesian x TB - to make 16.2-17hh
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i228/ashlea-maria/beautifulresized.jpg

and IDxTB currently standing 16.3-17hh
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i228/ashlea-maria/sittingonsunny.jpg

I wiki'd Warmblood and they are cold x hot bloods...so draughts x TB or arabs for example...they are generally "middle weight" according to wiki:D

Haven't got any picture but used to ride a Polish Warmblood years ago.
She has a very Anglo Arab look to her and was smaller and more compact that Lantern,
Don't know if she was typical of the breed though.

Belle is KPWN (Royal Dutch Sporthorse Studbook)

First pic with her Mum - think she was around 6 months old.
Second taken just after her 2nd birthday - she's a chunk bigger again now.

Tavia is an unusual WB - she is a Russian Orlov x

One P*ssed off pony in the pic as she had just been bathed to go to the regionals - in January!

I have to say for ages we have all been saying how araby Lanterns face is but he doesn't have one other characteristic of an arab. He's big boned long and tall lol, not at all compact. But apparently that's what he is, i was reading something about polish warmbloods and appartenly a lot of the breeders have a foal number on one side and a breeder number on the other. Lantern has a 29 on one side and a 27 or something similar on the otherside!!

I think mine has a slightly "dished" face like an arab too (although I put him down as an IDxTB, his mum was actually 3/4 TB and 1/4 arab...) Hes otherwise like lantern - tall (16.3 and bum high), quite chunky, and certainly not very compact! His head is huuuuge too!
heres some examples for you to check out - does anyone else see arab in his face or is it just me? (the lovely lady who is riding is a friend and her children - not me...excuse his hairyness, hes wintering naked and isnt stabled)

I know this next pic isnt really great - but was trying to get accross its size! Im 5'10" and have really looong legs - yet they look short compared to his head!
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i228/ashlea-maria/Picture147.jpg
I know hes not got a small "elegant" head, like an arab...but I think that it nevertheless displays an arab/Tb shape....? the faces that hes pulling it makes him look less "dished"....
I wont be offended if you all disagree with me though :D

Can I get away with posting a pic of my 1/4 Belgian Warmblood here??? any excuse..she's Andalusian/Bel WB X TB/ID.....a mixed bag!!!
16.0-16.1hh or somewhere in between - some days she can look like any hairy horse but when she's prancing about showing off she totally transforms and looks very graceful and floaty!:p

Hehe, thanks RRA...Hes really lovely to look at in the summer...but is sooo ugly in the winter because he now winters without a rug or stable....infact, to prove my point, take a look at the pics above your post!
That was taken just 2 weeks ago - no rug or stabling...and a bit of a hard exercise session too, lol...
I much prefer him in his shiny summer outfit - makes him look like a different horse!

I like yours too - Sunny looked like yours at one stage (same colour, but he lightened very quick - hes only 4 now!)

This is my Dutch Warmblood foal Diamond Rose - Rosie - who is 8 months old. She was a present to myself when I got divorced and I am very pleased with her. Her dad is an international dressage star Mooiman. I have been on a family tree site and traced her relatives back to the 1700's - really wonderful and SO interesting!!!:)

I am so sad though, as am going to have to sell her, because my health is deteriorating and I need to find her a new home!!! She is on here if anyone interested.

Hi, you know my boy is a Westphalian too. I have never seen a grey, and he looks lovely. Do you get many of them in NZ?:)

No not really I havent seen alot, his seamen was imported, hes only 15.2hh but a massive power pack and so fun to ride cos hes not push button schoolmaster but he would never hurt you. His dam was holsteiner X so maybe that why hes grey?
Quality horses in NZ are hard to come by unless you import something uber flash or breed something that was out of imported mares :D
My filly with the krack c blood is the only one other than her mother with that line and there isnt much flemmingh blood in nz ethier. Littorio her sire shares the same dam (Texas) as flemingh so she gets a couple of doses of femingh in there distantly.
