Had a new kid in Pony Club this morning, Mum assured me he could walk trot & canter and although he was very nervous about meeting the other members (mostly girls!) he assured me he could ride. I thought I'd put him in the beginners ride just in case.
Got him on board and went to help some of the others when there was a loud squeal from Matthew. Whats wrong, Matthew, I thought you said you could ride? But I didn't know he would move! he replied.
It took me most of the lesson to pick myself up off the floor laughing, and he couldn't understand what was funny.
Needless to say he had to have a leader, but he could almost do rising trot by the end of the class, and he was very good at round the world!
