If you feed garlic supplement, buy one from the feed merchant that is human food grade and fill the kitchen spice pot from it. Horse garlic powder is a fraction of the cost of human. If you buy a refill bag of garlic to start with, rather than a plastic pot each time, you can save even more.
The same logic applies to cider vinegar.
Equally don't buy expensive jacket waterproofing sprays, and waxed leather shoe cleaners. Non canvas rugs spray or paint is cheaper and just as efficient as is leather tack conditioner.
Sometimes our horses can save us money!
