Ok, so I've done it!!! I've bought a 7.5 tonne lorry :D
Now I have to insure the beast LOL.
Where are the best places to get quotes from? Are there any places online where I can get a quote at all?
Please help. I'm so excited I could burst .... and I want to go and get my lorry asap :D xxx

Do a search for South Essex Insurance Brokers - I've heard they are quite good for all things horsey! I have my 2 horses insured with them, but they do vehicles, trailers, etc as well.

Congratulations! I cannot remember who posted but i recently read a post about an equine comparison site called equine compare (I think) from someone on here which compares all things horse including insurance.I am sure someone can give you more details but it should save some leg work!
Sorry i cant be more specific but i looked at it at the time and was really impressed.

Mine is with KBIS.
Worth putting an annual mileage limit on it as that will really knock down the premium. 3000 miles pa is more than enough for most folk. We compete a fair amount and the most I've ever needed was a 5000 limit when my advanced horse was still competing and I was having to do a lot of long drives to get to qualifiers for the PSG classes.
Make sure you have the rescue service as well.
whatever

Another vote for SEIB. They also provide breakdown recovery.

Mine's with Shearwater, I've got breakdown recovery with them too. I have had cause to use the latter and it was very good :o

I've used Anthony Evans in Coventry for the last 7 years and their breakdown service. Excellent!
Maybe post the quotes you get on here? I think that'd be very useful for others come renewal time :)

Hi all,
Just thought I'd update on the insurance I got for the 'beast' :)
We're now with Anthony Evans - Fully comp at £190 and breakdown was about £60.00 for a 30 mile limit from home as I only do local shows :)
BARGAIN!!!! :D xxx
