I have recently taken up horse riding and have had about 4 lessons, I absolutely love it and I would like to go on one of these riding holidays that I've heard about. Does anyone know if you have to be up to a certain standard or are they suitable for beginners???

Different riding programs have different requirements but most seem to want you to be able toy walk, trot & canter. The best bet is to do some research into different places - most will list the requirements. Once you know them, speak to your instructor & ask him/her to design a program to get you up to speed before you go.
Congrats on starting riding & have fun!

Hi saralou
If you are on the Wirral there is the Equestrian Centre in North Wales - one thread that mentions it if you enter into the search box is
COLOR=crimson]Has anyone done anintensive riding course? [/COLOR]
I think that Paul C did a riding course there - but I think he posts somewhere else these days?????
