thanks for your kind words guys. misty never had a days illness or lameness in the 14 years i had her, then come the end she started suffering with laminitus which she recovered from really quickly then unfortunately one night heard her thrashing around in her stable, went out to investigate and unfotunately it was colic. vet came and sedated her, i stayed with her all night, vet came back in the morning but she had not got up so i had to make that awfull decision - something i will never forget. misty was 21.

Totally understand how you're feeling - I lost my boy very suddenly on 20 November this year - he had heart failure. Again, rarely ill or injured. Such a shock.

I do take solace in that I gave my boy a happy life in the 12 years we were together and he died at the grand age of 26.

My thoughts are with you. xx
