StOLEN BLACK SHETLAND GELDING

My friends elderly 9.2hh black gelding was stolen sometime last night from the field next to her house in hatfield broadoak, essex.. He is black with no white markings but has occasional greying on his coat due to his age.. He was wearing a green turnout rug and is freezemarked 87G.

There is a reward offered for information leading to his safe return.. if you can help please contact essex police and quote crime reference 20081209-0244..

We would be grateful for your help.. He is much loved..

Him being freezemarked means there's a good chance of recovery (most likely he'll be dumped when his rug is removed and the freezemark spotted). Has he been reported stolen on the Stolen Horse Register and are your local Horse Watch aware?

Do you have any posters you could put up with his picture, full details, crime reference number and police liaison telephone number that people could keep in their cars?
