Does anyone else have a terrano? I have a 52 SWB and I love it but thinking of going for a LWB. Reason is that I feel sometimes that it's not the comfiest and is a bit like driving a tractor! I have friends with other 4x4s and they seem nicer to be in. Granted they are probably more expensive and wouldn't be up to job of towing! Just wondered if a LWB would give me a better drive??

We have a Terrano n I love it! Its really easy to drive n very comfortable. My OH would slightly argue that but then I did make him sell his beloved Audi A4 to change it to a towing vehicle. We have the LWB 7 seater one n it has bags of room inside, great on or off road n a great drive. Also, it pulls like a dream. Ours is the 2.7 litre and it pulls our Ifor 505 complete with FAT neddie without really knowing that its there. Go for it!!

My mum used to have one, thats what I used to tow the trailer when going anywhere and loved it.

As said above, it has loads of room, great off road when needed and towed really well, half the time you forgot that you are infact towing.

I was really gutted when my mum sold it, only reason was that she didnt have any horses so I had to go and buy a 4x4 for myself.

Go for it they are great cars

We also had the SWB many moons ago, my mum has always had a nissan terrano to tow and never had any problems whith either.

Me! I have a 1999 SWB 2.7TD Terrano 2.

I love my jeep and it tows like a dream, i also find it quite economical if thats possible for a gas guzzler.... with diesel at 95.9ppl i am getting approx 300 miles to £45.... lasts me a fortnight and its all town driving.

I have had mine two years and although i have had to replace the exhaust i wouldnt say i have ever had any bother with it. I just find the boot in the SWB a bit on the small side, its not very deep from the door to the rear seats, but the seats are a dodle to fold if space needed.

I was considering changing in March maybe but the only thing i would get to replace my terrano would be a Mitsubishi Shogun Sport but LWB, the boots are MASSIVE!! Will either upgrade or keep my Terrano another year or two....

Thanks guys, some really helpful comments. I really love my jeep but still swaying towards a LWB but would stick with the terrano as I do like it and like you KarenMc have only had to replace the exhaust but think this is a common problem. Cheers.
