Hi

It might be easier if i give u all a little background info on myself first- i'm 18, have been riding for 13years and i own a 16hh cbx mare who can be a fruit loop at times. I mainly hack out and show jump, but i would love to do more. In the past i have owned a 3year old cob and have looked after alot of different horse.

I am currently doing a btec national diploma in childcare learning and development and I as part of my course I have to go out on placement. Anyway to cut a long story short I get to choose where I go for my last placement (which will be around easter) and I would REALLY like to work with with children who are disabled and ride as I feel that I would throughly enjoy it.

I am from South Yorkshire and looking for a riding school near by that would be happy to take me on.

If anybody knows of anywhere please let me know

many thanks

xxx

Sorry Moff - no idea as I am down south, but I hope you find somewhere. I think it is fabulous what therapy horses can provide

Try Damien at Smeltings Farm Riding School and Livery. They have a web site.

Jane Hemingway at Glebe Field in Mexborough is THE best place if you want to do RDA in the area. She does individual lessons and tailors each lesson to the rider and their disability. She works with everyone loads of different disabilities including severely mentally and physically disabled children. I helped there for a while and it was a fantastic experience.

Would say Jane Hemingway.
Am from Barnsley so a bit out of your way. Good luck finding somewhere anyhow!
