Ok my trailer could do with a clean up, some paint, some rubber matting and shavings.
Its hunter green on the outside and a yellowing colour inside. Was wondering if I should paint inside white and top up the outside colour with hunter green colour ? White inside to make it look more open and airy and more inviting for horses ( mainly for Percy!)
Also where could I get some trailer rubber matting?
Or is there anyone in Cambridge area who could do this for me at a good price?
Thanks in advance :)

I think you can just use normal light weight rubber matting, but don't quote me on that.
As for the inside paint, just make sure it is dried and aired for the right time or you might end up knocking Percy out! ;):p

Is it a Richardson/Rice trailer? Sounds like ours when we got it!
My dad re-did the hunter green in Hammerite, and at first we got him to paint the inside white but it looked too bright and clashed with the wall padding, so instead he did it with magnolia coloured house-paint which looks much better and is far more inviting.
Any rubber matting will do, ours is quite thick, but make sure you clean it thoroughly if you have a wooden floor :)

We sanded ours down on the outside and painted it sexy black! It looks like new - it;s amazing what a lick of paint can do! ;)

defiantely worth getting it serviced and the floor checked - we used to have a Rice Eventer and you have to be very very careful with the wooden floor - ours was kept scrupulously clean, remove bedding as soon as its not used, and leave it totally dry and immaculate.
I would worry that the wood might get hot and damp and therefore rot under rubber matting - might be very worth having a new floor instead, we had a sprung double wooden floor fitted which would be much better than mats.

The best for trailer maintenance is the trailer place in longstanton HM, on the roundabout near the vets on the High Street.
Will cost but worth doing:)

If you are thinking about a new floor i would reccomend it. I did it with mine and had a metal floor put in - it didn't cost nearly as much as I thought it would.

If its an Ifor Williams, paint the outside with Frog Juice (http://www.victorydesign.co.uk/categories/name/frogjuice)- it brings out the colour and protects further sun damage.
I think its about £350 to have a new alu floor fitted, cheaper if you can do it yourself :)

Thanks Pedilia and SFS, going to get it serviced but mum said the place has just closed down?
Where could I get a new floor put in? Ill go check what floor it is and I think it did get replaced once or twice before I got it.
