My last two cats, Daisy and Dandy died a couple of months ago. Daisy died first and Dandy died 3 weeks after her. I have no cats at the moment but hope to be getting another couple soon. I shall, hopefully be able to get them from one of the many cat charities here in Hastings.

I am so very sorry to hear of your losses.
I went through a similar time last year when I lost my last 3 cats in August, October and November.
They were all around the same age - 17 - and had been together with me from kittens.
All were very, very much loved. 2 of the girls had diabetes and one had epilepsy. I just didn't know what to do with myself when they were gone as my whole daily routine had been built around them. It was so lonely.
I couldn't stand the house so empty so just a day after my last girl died we went down to Bournemouth Cats Protection and there were two beautiful 4 month old kittens sat unwanted in a cat pen waiting for adoption so they came home with us.
Now a year on they are the absolute light of my life and have brought so much happiness and mischief back into the house.
I will always miss my wonderful old girls so much, but it is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
Having worked for Cats Protection for 5 years I know there are so many little cats needing the lovely home I know you will give them.

Two of my mum's cats have been from Hastings (we're in Glouestershire!), both were unwanted and both turned out to be the nicest cats you could ever imagine.

It's taken mum 3 years to think about getting a new one since the last one died, I had her looking at local charties for about 2 hours the other evening, I'm a sucker for the big ugly scarred looking toms!:D
