Does anyone ride hunter/jumper? Am I all alone?

Hunters in the states as well. Zone 2.

i do hunter jumping! Actually, not REALLY, cuz the only shows I can enter are the ones my riding school hosts at the barn riding the school horses, but hey, they're still fun, and I do ok at them. Hunter is a LOT easier than stadium jumping.

In a sense yes. I mainly show jump, dabble in eventing and participate in Show hunters. Show hunters is a cross between american hunters and UK working hunter (?) requiring a safe comfortable ride over natural type obstacles with style taken into account.

I can't agree with you on hunters being easier than jumpers, FreedomStar. In hunters, a horse must have strength AND form. And the rider can't be sloppy either. I'm not saying either is easy, but there is a lot to be said about both.

I ride hunters as well. I show my Dutch Warmblood and OTT TB on the East Coast, and mainly rated. I also do Jumpers and enjoy Dressage.

right now I'm in PA, but normally I'd be in Ocala or Cinci...I'm stuck here at the moment. I have my WB, Entrepenuer, but am missing my crazy little TB !

I do. I also have taken up eventing. It is awsome. You should try to jump out in the open spaces over natural jumps.

Star is going to have a go at 'small hunter' classes this year, with Heather on top, and also working hunter. She has done some Hunter trials, and had a load of fun.
One point I have noticed. Hunter classes are often scheduled to happen, at the same time as coloured classes?????? in my limited experience. Anybody else found this?
