How to bring a horse....

hello, at the moment i have a STB in trainnign and my trainner has started to bring him down on the bit, She can do it but when i get on the horse i can bring him down.

Can anyone help me.

well, he respondes well to my voice command and knows when he is doing good or doing bad by the sound of my voice.

I think from the sound of it your instructor may not have explained to you exactly what she's trying to achieve and how she's going about it when she "brings him down on the bit". Maybe if you get a better understanding of what it's all about first you'll have a better idea of what you should be doing to get the same results.

A STB is a Standardbred.

They do harness racing but he was no good enough to race.
