After my last post about my little girl coming into season and having an entire male in the house, well things have developed - but not in the way you would think!
My little girl was spayed two weeks ago, she is fine and happy in herself. But since being spayed she's developed a new and rather interesting habit.
She has started humping my entire male dog, she never did this before?!?!?!? He just lets her do it, he is such a softy. She doesn't care which end it is and often humps his head :o
Has anyone else experienced a female dog becoming more dominante after spaying? My entire male dog NEVER humps anything!

No, but I have a friend who's female cavalier marks and cocks her leg on walks and she's spayed.

Slightly different but female rabbits hump other rabbits/things as a sign of dominance. Also if she was only spayed 2 weeks ago then her hormones may still be a bit of a mess. (again i can only compare to rabbits but i know it takes a good 2-3 weeks at least for their hormones etc to settle). I know my post may seem slightly irrelevant but i just thought the dominance thing might apply to your dog since she is doing it to your male and he isn't bothered (ie he knows she is in charge lol)

Yeah, it's a dominance thing. Don't worry about it. My spayed female did it once to my other spayed female.
And as for spayed females lifting to pee... There's dozens of "elimination postures" a dog can do. Lifting, squatting, squatting and walking... And they're all considered normal regardless of sex or altered status.

Its all natural behaviour!
I have 'trains' here of a bitch humping a dog,who is humping another dog who is humping another bitch who is also humping a bitch who is humping a dog duvet! does look funny though :)

I wouldn't worry, my Yorkshire Terrier was spayed when she was a puppy (she's 8 now) and often humps things. Soft cushions, my nephew's cuddly toys .................. it's so embarrassing ;);)
